Before taking up this position he worked as a freelance modelmaker on architectural, commercial and display models and in exhibition design and construction. Scott obtained a degree in Modelmaking in 2011 from the Arts University Bournemouth and a PG Cert in HE from The University of Manchester in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Scott\u2019s interests lie in the preservation, theory and promotion of modelmaking in design education. She began her technical career in 2017 as a workshop technician at the Liverpool School of Architecture where she worked across many areas linked to model making including, manual fabrication workshop, laser cutting and 3D printing. She is also an alumni of The Herschel Programme for women in technical leadership. Prior to this Lara obtained a degree in 3 Dimensional Design at the Manchester School of Art in 2015. Through her degree she worked with a wide range of materials and processes specialising in sustainable and eco materials in her final year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal x_ContentPasted0\">Lara\u2019s interests lie in being creative and encouraging creativity throughout the design process. She enjoys being innovative and exploring the most appropriate material and process for the project. She has also created a small workshop at home with a laser cutter working on personal projects and small commissions of home decor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal x_ContentPasted0\">Lara enjoys working with students in B.15 to help support their project ambitions and ensure a safe and creative place in which to work.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Paulina Voang<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">paulina.voang@manchester.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Paulina Voang is a workshop technician at the B.15 Workshop. Prior to this role she worked as an architectural modelmaker at Richard Threadgill Associates, London. This further developed her passion and understanding in architectural model making and after relocating to Manchester she broadened her skillset and worked within the theatre industry as a Prop and Set Maker for local and West End productions.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Paulina also has an interest in creating wire sculptures and has been working on personal projects and commissions over the years. These sculptures range from architectural to more playful subjects.<b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">She is always keen to help students discover the varied and imaginative ways model making supports their projects at the B.15 Workshop.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Jasmine Theobald<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">jasmine.theobald@manchester.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Jasmine Theobald is a workshop technician at the B.15 Workshop. They studied Product and Furniture Design at Kingston University, where model making became their main way of exploring and developing ideas within her design process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Her interests are taking an experimental approach to the making journey. With experience working in both wood and metal, they\u2019ve built a wide range of working prototypes and enjoy experimenting with different techniques and processes. This hands-on and exploration method, drives their creativity and continues to shape the way they solve problems through \u2018happy accidents\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 300;\">Jasmine is excited to explore the many possibilities that the model making process brings and to help students with achieving their goals and supporting them within the workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Zane Zeivate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">zane.zeivate@manchester.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p>Zane Zeivate is a workshop technician at the B.15 Workshop. She is also a practising<br \/>\nvisual artist working in sculpture and spatial interventions. Her practice is research rooted and shaped by her background in architecture, which examines the politics of space and the interplay between built environments and human perception. Zane seeks architectural details in cities and turns them into metaphors that speak about the social values, female emancipation, and our daily urban environment. She is passionate about research gaining tangible outputs, which leads Zane to frequently write for architectural publications and exhibit her sculptures internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Zane holds an MA in Interior Architecture from Sandberg Institute, Gerrit Rietveld<br \/>\nAcademy, Amsterdam and a BSc in Architecture and Urban Planning from Riga<br \/>\nTechnical University. Her experience at Hosoya Schaefer Architects (CH) and Zaiga Gaile.<\/p>\n<p>Architects (LV) has provided her with experience with renovations and a range of<br \/>\narchitecture competitions and urban design studies for large-scale<br \/>\nprojects. Throughout her architecture studies and work, Zane has explored modelmaking across scales, materials, and techniques.<br \/>\nZane works with a variety of materials, helping students explore what inspires them and<br \/>\nwhat best suits their ideas. She encourages experimentation and challenges traditional<br \/>\napproaches\u2014from concept to outcome.
